YOUR TASK

Your task is to prepare a time line of William's life in three parts.

Part A is his early life from his birth in 1028 to the crowning of Harold Godwinson as King of England on 6 January 1066 which prompted William's invasion of England. This time line is to be done in the style of an illustrated manuscript of the time.

Part B is the period of his conquering of England from 28 September, 1066 to April 1070 and is to be done in the style of a map of England with the locations of his major battles clearly laid out and illustrated in the style of the Bayeux Tapestry.

Part C is the period of his consolidation of his rule in England from April 1070 to his death 9 September 1087 and is to be done in the style of the Domesday Book.
